Popes Timboon operates school routes on behalf of Victoria State Government Education and Training and Public Transport Victoria (PTV) School Bus Program. This program assists families in rural and regional Victoria by transporting students to school. The program services both government and non-government schools.
Students wishing to access a seat on a bus must complete an application form and parents/ guardians must agree to the conditions of travel including, if applicable, the payment of a fare. First contact should be made with the school bus coordinator in all cases who then liaises with the operator.
Popes Timboon operate services through to Timboon P12, Cobden Technical School, Cobden Primary School, Simpson Primary School, Allansford and District Primary School and Forrest Early Learning Centre.
All routes are coordinated by the respective school bus coordinator in consultation with us, the operator. At Popes Timboon, we have been operating school routes for over 50 years and have strong understanding of the operational environment and challenges within.
School Routes are a critical public infrastructure for the regional communities we service, and we take great pride in delivering children of all ages to and from their respective school safely and in comfort.
We place a big emphasis on passenger safety, so much so that we were the first bus company in Victoria to voluntarily fit seat belts to all our buses and the first in Australia to limit our school buses to a maximum speed of 90km/h.
No one can put a price on your child’s safety and it is our belief that the investment in seat belts on school buses go a long way to ensure this.
